Applying R2 to Johnson, Ross, Haas, Tepper & Marshall. Scored a 740 (42Q/51V). Only took the test once, today.
Previous two practice tests (Official Practice Tests #3 and #4 taken in testing conditions, at a library obeying all rules) I scored 46 and 48 quant respectively, so while I'm thrilled with a 740, I'm concerned that the low quant (44%ile) will disqualify me from consideration.
My undergrad was a BFA (fine arts), no quant to speak of on my transcript, but GPA 3.764. Bulk of my work history (8 years) is in hospitality operations, largely hotel food and beverage management. Much more personnel management than quantitative. My recommendations will be glowing. Extracurriculars are mediocre.
My post MBA goal is to work in Human Capital Strategy internally with a tech firm's HR function.
I'm taking the online "mbamath" class and will turn in my transcript with applications in an effort to demonstrate quantitative ability and willingness to improve (I'm 50% done right now, should have no problem getting that done). Additionally, I will be taking calc and stats at a community college over the summer to be ready, and am mentioning that in my optional essays.
Help me with some context here-I feel like I've got a lot of good high numbers with a lot of caveats. Am I in trouble? Should I retake?
