I have done a couple so far and scored 540 and 550. I am 10 days away from my test date. I usually run out of time by the time I hit 25 in math and 30 in verbal.
How bad am I?

Don't panic - Kaplan's math is much tougher than the real thing.
Download the PowerPrep software from mba.com and do a practice test on that. It's much closer to the real thing.

I have taken two Kaplan tests. Both were 100 points lower than PowerPrep. Quant is challenging but is good practice nonetheless. Verbal to me seems quite different from that in OG. RC and CR especially, i felt a lot of the inferences were reached by stretching the argument too far, something OG doesn't do. They seemed more than "necessary extentions of the argument". Does anyone think differently?
