I had my Kellogg interview yesterday with an alumnus from an earlier batch. The interviewer was friendly and was quite transparent about the entire process ; the interviewer was also quite forthcoming in answering my questions on the Kellogg 1Y program.
The question-set was fairly standard:
"Tell me about yourself"
"What do you like about your work"
"What do you not like about your work"
"Example of working in a diverse team"
"Professional strengths"
"Professional weaknesses"
"Why MBA, why Kellogg, why now"
"Anything else you'd like to talk about"
We rounded up the interview with my questions and got done in ~50 mins.As always, it was a good experience.

Interviewed for MBAi program.
It was with adcom member and scheduled for 30min. But it lasted 35min.
First, she introduced herself and thanked me for staying late as it was midnight. Then she explained the interview expectations and the flow of the interview. It was very interactive with some followup questions. I guess, she wanted to know the fit in the class.
Here are the questions asked:
1. Walk me through your CV starting from undergraduate.
2. Explain in details your job, responsibilities and achievements. I worked in 3 different countries so there were followup questions on eqch role and learning.
3. Tell me your leadership style and how you lead the team.
4. Example of a conflict and how you resolved it. What were your learnings.
5. Your profile is interesting and you have worked in a diverse environment. Could you give some examples ot diversity, collaboration, teamwork, etc.
6. Why MBA and why now
7. Why kellogg
8. Your ST goal and how kellogg fits in the picture.
9. Your backup plan
10. What was the most challenging assignment you have done and your learning from it.
11. There were some questions regarding the extracurriculars which i mentioned in CV. She wanted to know more about it.
12. How you evolved in life through your personal and professional experiences
Lastly she spared some time to ask questions. I asked couple of questions and for one question she said that she will enquire about it and come back to me. She replied about that question within 2hr post-interview.
In the end, she gave her email id incase if I have any question in future. I was surprised by this because I was not expecting this.
Overall it was a very good experience

Standard questions for most of the interview. Nothing not seen on other interview debriefs.
1. Walk me through your various roles, with emphasis on how your has experience changed.
2. How has your leadership style evolved?
3. Most significant challenged faced at work?
4. Why MBA?
5. What are your goals post MBA?
6. What is your plan B in case you can't achieve your immediate post MBA goals?
7. Why Kellogg? What courses would you be interested in? What clubs? What extracurriculars would you want to partake in? (Significant grilling on this part)
At this point, the interviewer talked about her experience and the clubs/ activities she was involved in. The interview concluded with the questions I had for her.
The entire thing lasted about an hour.

hey everyone! Just want to share my interview experience. Very friendly interviewer. Dug deeper into why Kellogg (as in we had a rephrase of "why kellogg" at the latter part of my interview). I had quite a number of behavioural questions (he dug deeper into those too). But, you should know that KELLOGG DOESN’T TRICK CANDIDATES (my interviewer made this clear before we started). The school really does want to know (and indirectly asks the interviewer) this: Do you see this person as your classmate?
(1) Walk me through your upbringing, college, professional experience, Why MBA, and Why Kellogg. > yes, all in one question!
(2) What do you consider as your biggest professional achievement?
(3) What kind of team member are you?
(4) What kind of leader are you? Give me a time when you showcased your leadership style.
(5) Is there anything else about Kellogg that convinced you to apply?
(6) If I ask one of your Kellogg classmates, what do you think they'd tell me about your strengths?

Walk me through your resume and the path you took after college (some follow ups)
Why MBA?
Short and Long term goals follow up questions
Tell me about working with a diverse team
How would others describe you as a leader
Was interviewed by a 2020 alum.Overall 1 hr with equal time for interview and questions for the interviewer. Felt like a very pleasant conversation and the interviewer seemed interested in getting to know better my motivations and even tried to make me feel at ease during the interview. No oddball questions and a great experience overall.
