If the interview comes WEEKS after submission, how do they actually view our application without the interview component?
The interview comes weeks after submission at most schools; it's the unusual case where the interview comes early in the evaluation cycle. In all cases, the interview is one more datapoint that admissions uses; they combine it with everything else you present to make their decision. The interview at a school like HBS tends to hold more weight than at Kellogg, but it's an important input for all of them.

A friend of mine was a 2nd year student reader in the Kellogg admissions office and I know from him that the applications at least go through a student review before the interview.

Do you know where we can view our completed app after submission... Kellogg doesn't seem to have a PDF view like other apps..

Does Kellogg appreciate their alumni's recommendations more than others ?

Apart from my immediate supervisor, I am torn between choosing two Managers... One who knows me for two years and another who is a Kellogg alumnus and knows me for only 5 months. (But i can ask him to write about my fit in Kellogg)

Gosh..i guess too late for the kelloggs party.
submitted wharton and realised kellogg is a couple of weeks away..

I had a question for EssaySnark and others
It i apply by Oct 18 then does it mean that off-campus interview chances are almost over ?
If thats the case, can i apply in r2 to increase the interview chances since interview holds quite a weight in kelloggs
Very confused.....:(

Submit R1. You're from an over-rep demographic and the slight advantage you are trying to leverage by scheduling an off-campus interview, will be more than offset by doing R2 vs. R1. Moreover, if they like you, they will call you for an interview.

I had this problem with a couple of my applications, not with Kellogg's. Sometimes different email systems just filter messages in a weird way - if you want to be sure, just email the Kellogg Admission people to directly send the request again. I did this for Harvard and Columbia, and both schools responded right away with a direct request.

Guys.. I've having a few issues. I can't see any video essay section in my application, nor can I see any essay section. I've selected "2 year mba" and fall term a hundred times over but the review part still says I haven't selected it. Also, if I click "continue" on the interview instructions section, it fails and takes me to my employment part. this is really weird. Is any one else having similar issues?

Also, some schools take 1 page and 2 page resumes. Does anyone about kellogg?

BTW, yes I have tried different browser and OS platforms.

Submit R1. You're from an over-rep demographic and the slight advantage you are trying to leverage by scheduling an off-campus interview, will be more than offset by doing R2 vs. R1. Moreover, if they like you, they will call you for an interview.

Well, my video essay experience is like TOEFL Speaking part examination. If you are comfortable with that I think you will be fine. It's a little weird though because I'm not used to play Web-cam and see myself on the computer.

For me, I just answered it with what I thought and try to be confident while put a smile on my face haha.

If you have trouble with chrome from the get go, try using IE or other browser.

I suggest calling/mailing the adcom.

It's a bit surprising that so many of the applicants are facing issues with the videos.

I just realized that for some reason the "Program of Interest" section was not saving the changes I made to it. I just tried to fill it out again now and it saved. Now the Video, Essay and Interview sections are working.

I am facing a peculiar situation. I have not taken TOEFL and planning to claim TOEFL waiver since my graduation college medium of teaching was english. As per the website, i need to attach a proof of the same but do not know what kind of proof can i generate for it.
Also while reviewing the online application form, it shows that TOEFL score not entered hence form not complete.

Anyone facing the similar situation pls help !
