Some confusion on my end - do all applicants have an evaluative interview or only those invited to interview? I see a January 22nd schedule date for NW on-campus interviews. I want to make sure I am understanding the kellogg process correctly. Can anyone shed some light on the subject?
From what I understand, they will try to interview all applicants. Only that submitting apps after the "recommended" deadline may cause the interview to be scheduled late. They will only waive off campus interviews for candidates for whom they can't find interviewers (read alumni) within the interview window. I'd wait a while and then try contacting the AO. BTW, I submitted my R2 app on the 7th of Jan. But haven't heard from them either.
Anyone else with better info/ views?
Posted from my mobile device Hey,
On site, it says that a skype interview will be done, if required, for those who have submitted the app after recommended deadline.
I have heard that interview is waived for some. But, no sure how it progressed.

Deadlines
The Round 2 deadline for all applications has been extended from Jan. 7 to Jan. 9, 2014, at 5 p.m. CT; both on-campus and off-campus interview requests will be accepted until this date. For those requesting an off-campus interview, we recommend an earlier submission (December 3) to allow the greatest lead time for the interview matching process.
Applications received after this date will continue to be matched but may see further restricted interview availability. All applications will be reviewed equally, whether submitted on December 3 through our deadline of January 9. An applicant will not be at a disadvantage in the process if the application is submitted on the deadline but we do encourage those who are ready early to submit the application earlyFor off-campus interviews we should wait at least 4 weeks before panicking... Or maybe someone who called the AO can shed some light on this....
As for the waived interviews, I've heard that this only happens if they are unable to match the candidate with any available dates with alumni... I guess this is why they ask people to apply early, to allow more time for alumni to make themselves available to conduct interviews... In my opinion/understanding, a waived interview does not reflect negatively on the applicant BUT does deny him/her of valuable face time with someone who can have an impact on their application...
