Just got an invite for the Mumbai interview schedule on 9th February. Registered for the 11am slot, looking forward to some advise (specifically from 1yr candidates).

From all previous posts it seems it will be a blind interview with an alumni. I am a non-Indian interviewing in Mumbai, so it will be an interesting experience!

I have got an invite too for Mumbai. Registered for the noon slot. Full-Time (2-Year) applicant.

I was wondering how many applicants apply without hiring any consultant. I know there is a thread discussing the quality of service provided by various consultants and seeing the participation, one can estimate that a lot of people hire consultants.
But it would be great to know how many applicants write their apps without any external help and how many of them are successful.
I have a strong feeling that I should have hired a consultant myself but then I could have either hired a consultant or kept the money towards the admission deposit :p

Well I have received a letter Kellogg waiving my interview requirement for the time being stating that if they require they will have a telephonic interview. I just want to know that does that mean that my application is through with the initial screening and being considered further or is this a generic reply to all applicants whose interviews are waived ?

Besides when do they start sending their final decisions to candidates as I see people updating their statuses already !

Congratulations? For what? Everybody is invited to interview, if possible. Submitted Part 1 in Round 2 [4th Dec].

Congratulations for being invited to interview in India. Not every Indian Candidate gets an invite because of the sheer number of people applying.

I'm an R2 applicant and have done my interview. Logging into the the app status check, it says my application is complete and gone for review etc... Also says:
"The next status check update will be the admission decision (Admit, Waitlist or Deny). When a decision has been determined, the Office of Admissions will send you an email notifying you to check your status for your decision. Application decisions may be released on or before the decision deadline, but the majority of decisions will be released during the last few weeks of the round."

Looking back, seems as though R1 decisions didn't go out until a day or so before the deadline this year - can anyone from R1 confirm if they had this same message on the app status check?

Hey, where & how did you find this message? I am a R2 applicant too, and I have done my interview on Jan.2. However, there is nothing changed on my application page since the day I submitted Part II...a little worried now...

Are you logging into the right place? Don't log into applyyourself as Kellogg don't change the message in there. They have a separate "application status check" link that you need to log into - link for it is on your submission confirmation email. They say it takes a few weeks to confirm that your application is complete.

Did your application status specifically note that you had interviewed? Mine starts out by stating: "All the required elements of your application are complete. If your interview has been completed, the application has been submitted for review to the admissions committee. If your interview has not been conducted, the application will be submitted to the admissions committee upon completion of the interview."

I had my interview a month ago. I just want to make sure that the status website will say that even if my interview has been recorded in their system.

Thanks!

My status gives me the same message as you. I interviewed a few weeks ago and my interviewer also confirm he submitted the feedback so I'm assuming this will be the last message until notification.

Same for me, don't think we need to worry!

Hey guys, I am an international applicant. It has been eight weeks since the part 1 deadline for R2 and I still havent receive an email regarding my interview (whether interview with alumni or interview waived). Should I contact the admission office?

Hi guys,
I did my R2 Kellogg interview with an alumni yesterday (I'm an international student). Does anyone know how long it takes to hear from the adcom for a final decision?

Thanks

I contacted Kellogg admissions asking for information about my status because I have another offer from a school pending. I got a reply a couple of hours later stating "We cannot release decisions early but do promise to let all candidates know their status on March 21, our posted deadline." Guess I've got a long wait ahead of me.

I got an email from adcom saying that my interview has been waived (I am from India). Since other Indians have received invites, do I count this as an early ding or am I being too paranoid?

For the interview next week (my first), can somebody please advise what should I carry?

I can only think of carrying a copy (or maybe few extra copies) of my CV. Anything else?
