Hi,

Did anyone complete the Kellogg Video Essay? I am facing trouble with the test video - when I record I can see that mic is working. But when I playback my video I can't hear the sound. The same settings work fine with skype. I use chrome so flash is supported as well.
Any advise - I want to complete it by Sep 18 for R1 (recommended deadline for those requesting off-campus interview).
Please help!!

Hi, brave soul.

I think you should give it a try with IE/another machine. If that doesn't work, don't hesitate to call the adcom.

The same thing happened to me. I had to adjust the mic settings to be full volume; only then did it work as intended. I was on chrome btw.

The questions were very straightforward. When they say that the purpose of the video essay is to get to know applicants better, I think they mean it. The questions were simple, to the point, and about my hobbies etc.

I had problems with the video - I think internet is too slow in Australia & New Zealand (I tried in both countries as I was travelling). I wrote to AdCom about it and they offered to waive it for me - pasting email below
