To answer the question above, no we do not. They pick out who interviews based on availability that day. Also, you should know that interviews at UNC are conducted blind, which means the interviewee will only know of your resume and nothing else from your application. On a side note, is anyone else dying from the delay of knowing?

The interviews are blind only if the essays are not submitted. I had my interview and my interviewer came with my essays printed. I asked him and he said he had access to my complete application and it is just his choice. P.S i was interviewed with an alum in India

It sounds like the guy you interviewed with decided to read the essays. Online, on one of their blogs, they mention that their interview is blind and the person who interviewed me was. I would probably count on that.

even i had an interview with an alum in India. He told me that he had access to my essays/application and would see them after completing the interview. So i guess, the school policy is that interview is supposed to be blind, but the interviewer can look at your essays before the interview if he wishes to. Infact, my interviewer also asked me my gmat score, something which they are not supposed to ask. FYI.....my interview lasted for 2 hours!!

Anyone from Mumbai got interview with an Alum in India??

Hello all, R2 applicant here. Excited for the decision on Feb 4th. Has anyone received an admission call ahead of the decision date so far this year? From the 2011 and 2012 forums, they usually start calling applicants the week before the official date. Thanks in advance. Good luck to everyone!

Question for R1 applicants here: Does it really take them 7 days to announce about scholarships? Anyone got the answer earlier? I'm a little bit time concerned, as i need to reply another school i got into.

According to the statistics on first page someone was admitted in R2. Have people started getting acceptance calls?

Per the table on the first page, that account was last updated the afternoon of January 24th. At that time, UNC hadn't yet finished the interview period (ended the 25th). I imagine this was a false report in the system given the timing of the profile update and the KFBS admissions process. Unless, of course, the interviewer REALLY liked them and granted admission on the spot
