I personally would recommend you picking up the Manhattan GMAT prep book for sentence correction. Do two chapters a night (very easy, to a native English speaker it would take you no more than 15 - 20 minutes per chapter) and do their end of chapter practices. You will finish the first 9 chapters in less than a week (chapter 10 - 12 are ridiculously weird and not necessary), then you should feel more confident. It's more like reaffirming what you know, and finding out the small things you didn't before and spend the second week focusing on those small things you identify in the first week. Good luck!

Thanks! Will check it out. Hopefully, I'll be able to push that V38 above a 40 with some focus.

Side note, I got a couple V45s on my first two full-length Manhattan CATs, so I was worried that Manhattan verbal was "too easy" compared with the official.

I don't think you need to worry about that in this case because their study material is definitely not easy. I personally got a 40 on verbal - not excellent, but it was decent enough for me. I did not use any other materials for SC, 100% of my time was dedicated to understanding that book - read it like 3 times, but it was worth it. I am pretty sure you will do better than that if you can allocate enough time to go through it twice. The good thing about it is, it is pretty concise, which is exactly what will help you knowing you plan on writing your GMAT in 2 weeks.

p.s. the official tests are pretty accurate, my real GMAT score was the same as my second official CAT.

It is obvious that SC is the biggest drag on my score. I just took one of the official CATs and scored a 700 (48Q, 38V, 8IR). My GMAT is in two weeks. The Q and IR are fine, but I need to improve that V score, and MOST of my wrong answers are SC ones!

This is what I got right on verbal:
CR = 7/11
SC = 10/17
RC = 12/13

That's right... 7 out of my 12 incorrect verbal questions were SC.

I also think that my CR questions were harder than the SC. SC has always given me the most trouble. I usually get down to two answer choices, but almost half the time I can't distinguish between those two.

I need to spend the next two weeks focusing on SC... how can I best spend that time?

Hey jz4analytics,

The SC section is the easiest verbal section to make improvements on. Once you understand how to think and approach this question type, there are only so many ways you can be tested. Here at GMAT Pill we developed the 10 core frameworks which detail the 10 ways to approach GMAT sentence corrections.

Here is a sample video detailing one of the core frameworks: https://www.gmatpill.com/gmat-practice-t ... stion/2184
