Questionable argument. Manhattan CR is sure not worth practising.
It could be either (D) or (E). But, if I had to choose one, I would choose (D) over (E). Ask why? Because it looks more relevant to the question. There are two definite reasons stated in the stimulus for an immigrant, but the immigrant in (D) falls under neither group. So, that's what I would choose.
Why can't it be (E)? I don't know. Maybe the OE will shine a light on this.
