Thanks Rahul, that’s really helpful. Glad to hear that it’s fun and social!

I don’t want to hog the forum here but I was also wondering how much help the CDO provides with summer internship recruiting with ‘less typical’ recruiters (for e.g. i think I’ve seen the likes of hellofresh, Hudl, Man Utd, Uber, Unilever etc. on the employment report)? I’m basically referring to anything other than consulting and IB.

Do people have to source these sorts of roles themselves?

Hi,

What about exchange programme in years 2? Is it easy to participate or there are special requirements needed (e.g., exchange at Columbia, NYC)?
What are pros and cons?

Hi ! My apologies for the late reply. We are all quite busy with the recruiting season. Consulting and IB companies come to campus and form part of Structured recruiting. However, there are many tech companies which also come to Campus. These include Amazon, Facebook, Google, Expedia, Amex, Visa etc. Some tech companies do not come to Campus but do post on the college's career center. And if you have something specific in mind, you can always approach career center and they will help you out. You definitely find a college alumni who you can reach out in such cases. In short, there are various ways of doing what you want. these include both structured and non-structured.

I will definitely be participating in the student exchange program in Year 2. You can always do a student exchange to any university you want to. There are no special regulations. You just have to apply from a broad range of school and get admitted for their program. The pros are similar to any student exchange, you get to experience a new culture, a new academic environment and expand your network. The only con is that you might be away from London, where you want to recruit. But then students figure schedule their exchange programs in a way that it does not conflict with recruiting. So that shouldn't be a problem. No one faces scheduling problems. LBS program is quite flexible that way.

I am not really sure about this as I haven't gone on an exchange yet, so I won't comment. But from what I think that it depends upon the school you are going to and the amount of access they are willing to provide you. I think this is not LBS specific. This applies to any b-school. Mostly, you won't get an alumni status.

I am sorry but I don't have many insights into the MiF programme. I can get you in touch with a few MiF students if you like. I am guessing the problem with applying to any R4 is the limited availability seats.

How can I reach out to current students / LBS ambassadors for coffee chats? I wanted to know more about the clubs and how students contribute to the clubs.
