Hi All,
Does anyone know how long the VISA process takes? I'm trying to understand whether a R4 applicant that would need a VISA has enough time to get one before the start of the programme

Posted from my mobile device

Generally it can take up to 3 weeks. However, most countries should have an express option which would cost you more to expedite it.

I haven't applied for my student visa yet, but my wife applied for an ancestry visa a few weeks ago and they processed her application and approved her in 6 days - which is good because you have to mail your original passport for the application, and so are restricted from international travel during that time.

Hope that helps.

There is time enough to get the Tier 4 Visa after R4 decisions, but you have to plan your finances now.
They ask you to have your first year fees (35,400) + 11,385 pounds for at least 28 days in your account before applying for the visa.
You can take out of this money the deposits you will need to make as soon as admitted (8,000), so you will actually need to have 38,785 for 28 days in your account. You can also discount from this any money you get as loan, scholarship or sponsorship...
Loans usually only cover tuition, so you may still need at least 3,385 pound untouched in your bank account.

See details here: https://www.ukcisa.org.uk/Information--Advice/Visas-and-Immigration/Tier-4-eligibility-and-requirements

To be safe the money should be in your account 2 months before the day you intend to travel to the UK, althought you can get the loan/scholarship/sponsorship just few days before you apply (1 month before your travel).

Note the school is checking docs before you apply to the visa and this can add some 2-3 days to the proccess.

I'd recommend having the money there from 10-16 June maximum and applying to the max loan as soon as you get the offer (22 June) even if you are not sure you will need all the money in the end (you can change the amount later and it will make your visa process easier).

Regards,

Hello everyone,

Does anyone know what the LBS MBA initial deposit amount is to secure a spot (once granted an offer)? In GBP or USD. Thank you!

It's 2,000 + 6,000 GBP. Take a look at page 1 on this thread (LBS (London): Calling all Applicants (2016 Intake) Class of 2018!!) for more details.
I've merged your created topic here, ok? It's better to get answers and the right place to discuss anything related to applying/accepting offers.

If you have any other doubt please write back here or send me a PM

Regards,
Niddy

Hola! This is only relevant for admits from Spain & Portugal (or with high interest in working mainly in these markets based in Madrid!). I have just seen in Facebook the following:

Bain & Company Madrid Office is planning a Pre-MBA event at 19:30 in June 23rd and would like to invite the LBS Class of 2018 admits. It is a unique opportunity to understand what we do in Strategy Consulting very early on!

Please **send an email to Patricia Miralles (patricia.miralles{@}bain{.}com, I can't write it as a normal email address, but you only have to delete the brackets) ** if you would like to attend, and she will answer back to you, or you can follow the instructions in the web page of Bain Madrid, where you also have more information.

If you are interested in Bain Madrid, even if you can't attend, also let her know!

Congratulations on your admission!
