How can we know such factors? I am always confused about such factors and end up missing them!

Statement 1- y>x
Possible (x, y) - (7*23), (7*161) or (23,161)
Insufficient

Statement 2- (7*23) or (23*7)

list of numbers for which LCMis 161
1. (1,161)
2. (23,7)
3. (23,161)
4. (7,161)
x,y>1 therefore 1 eliminated
i) y>x ->can be 2,3,or 4
ii) x and y are coprime->option 2

therefore c-> we have to use both info
