a)& b) use NOT ONLY, BUT ALSO, incorrectly
c) as a complement to its museum galleries, but as a stand-alone art resource, which exhibits exclusive pieces that cannot be viewed(( It changes meaning. "stand-alone art resource" is in addition to "complement to its museum galleries" and thus NOT & BUT won't work. Only NOT ONLY BUT ALSO will work here. ))
d) only as a complement to their museum galleries, but also as a stand-alone art resource, exhibiting exclusive pieces that cannot be viewed((Uses Not only but also, correctly. Do not use "on exhibit".Best option among all.))
e) only as a complement to its museum galleries, but also as a stand-alone art resource, exhibiting exclusive pieces that are not on exhibit(("On exhibit" is illogical. It must have been either "on exhibition" or "exhibitted" ))
