Letters of Support (Supplemental Letters of Recommendation)

Question

Hi all,

Based off past experiences, does anyone know what the policy is to getting additional letters of support (i.e. at most one extra recommendation from an alumni/current student of a given school)?

For me, these would be for HBS, Sloan, and Booth.

jylu88  the policy fluctuates from school to school, and is subject to change from year to year. If they explicitly state "no other materials will be accepted" then it's a no. 
I would recommend calling the school to make sure.

You really want to follow the fine print here some programs will really get annoyed if you send additional information if they state not to. So make sure you know the facts for your school. You can potentially ask your student contact to ask the program their internal policy of notes or reccs coming from them. But generally schools want to keep the playing field level especially since they know they would be inundated would extra materials otherwise.

Hi there, You need to check each school's instructions and follow them. For example, HBS say: "Please submit two recommendations (no more, no less!)"
