Like many other world leaders, such as Gandhi, Kennedy, and Lincoln, Winston Churchill is widely thought to have suffered from major depression.

(A) Like

(B) As with

(C) Just like

(D) As

(E) Just as

The answer is A.
Since in this sentence the author is comparing a similarity between Gandhi, Kennedy, and Lincoln, and Churchill, we use Like.

I'm curious. Is there any distinction between "like" and "just like"?

Thanks

Hi septwibowo ,

As far as I know, Just like is almost always incorrect on GMAT.

Absolutely true, " Just Like " is always incorrect on GMAT

Here is a beautiful post from GMATNinja

https://gmatclub.com/forum/just-like-65 ... l#p1827766

Nothing wrong with the original sentence , correct answer must be (A)

Just like is slightly wordier than like. That's it. Nothing else wrong with it.
