Anybody has a good explanation (or a link to an explanation) of when to use AS and when to use Like for comparisons or for clauses?

LIKE is used to compare equal things specially nouns.
As is used to comapre actions.
He is as tall as I am.
Like cycles, scooters have 2 wheels.
