I was waitlisted for an entire year after R1 interview for the class of 2010 and was subsequently dinged and accepted for class of 2011 as an early admit. My story is available on older LBS threads if you search for them. Good luck.


Dude I am very sorry but it's quite difficult to pull your story out of the forum. I was not able to find it.
Can you give me a link ?
Quick question: when you got dinged at the end of the waitlist, it was around the date of orientation ? And then were you admitted right then on the same email or did you have to wait or even re-apply to know ?

Well for this year probably yeah, but judging by last year's discussions, I believe our odds are good for an admission for next year if you are interested in that option...

Today is the orientation day at LBS so we should recieve it pretty soon now ... All this wait and a ding ... That hurts :(

Hey you'll never know - maybe with last week's report of possible upcoming recession in Europe, half of the class would change their mind last minute and don't show up :D

So what is the chance of being admitted for class 2014 if you were a "top" benchwarmer that waited until now.

Judging by what happened last year, and unless they plan to do 1 last round of trimming, chances are pretty good I would say.

I received an email today saying that i am no longer considered for this year and asking me to confirm my interest for next year. Am i the only one who got that email??

Yep I got the same one - they said if I intend to be considered for 2014 I should provide an update on what my plans are for the coming year and an up-to-date CV/letter if there have been significant changes to my profile.

Got the same message. I think last year they just asked to confirm our interest, but this year they are asking us to submit an updated CV and references :(

I guess if you applied in the later rounds (like me), there are probably very few updates to your CV etc.

P.s they only say they will "accept updated letters/CVs", they do not say its a necessity.
