I used eGMAT but it take a lot of time, now I’m looking to switch to Aristotle SC guide book, would you recommend anything else because I have to give the exam by end of September.
What is your accuracy on official questions? Have you made an error log? Are you visiting it frequently enough? Have you started noticing a pattern? I may be wrong, but my opinion or belief is that it comes down to you to see where you are going wrong. My current ability is capped by doing Inference questions incorrectly on both RC and CR. Similarly for SC, I need to become more adept in spotting pronouns and comparison errors.

Guys also one more thing- this is the mistake I was making so want to share if helpful for others.

I was earlier making error logs for all questions that I was doing, but not visiting those error logs often. Error logs is a two step process - i) you have to properly make them, and ii) revisit them as much frequently as you can.

This especially helped me a lot to drill down on my errors in SC and CR

Yes, I did - by noting down the type of error i was making

once you have 100 questions in front of you

youd know what errors you are making more

simple

Hi Folks,

Another insight to share with you: today I read a really boring passage on Humanistic perspective. Now prior to reading I didn’t have any view of this field or topic or what it entailed. After terribly failing at attempting the questions and failing to get only 2/7 correct, I made a concerted effort to figure out each and every thing mentioned in the passage. I read a few articles on humanistic perspective and it helped me to great extents to understand and get better at doing that passage. Now I understood all the ways properly in which the passage was written. Because I made an extra effort to read more on the topic it provided me with great context. I think that we really need to fall in love with the process to learning something out of it and build a life long skill. For those who are struggling with RC: don’t just focus on getting questions right and then sleep. Focus on getting better positioned in RC. And that can happen only when you expand your horizon by reading more on whatever you come across for the first time in life. I am not asking you to go and read books and articles, but what I am doing at the moment is that I am trying to decode the entire passage, find out what is it that you are hearing or seeing for the first time and then google about it to learn more background and context. Now, that would help you to extract max juice out of the passage and then you would be able to better understand the inferences drawn by the author. Let me know if someone tries this and feels this worked for them as well. :)

if you scored low in your first mocks, you’d better off buying a good online course than you would be buying a mock test series.

take egmat verbal course. If not for rest, it would sky rocket your SC provided you do the course deligently. Make proper notes, revise them frequently.

Yes Great if someone can provide a detailed outline of TTP? How is it good or bad versus other courses in the market? If you have done any other courses say egmat or manhattan and then moved to TTP, then what is your view and what difference do you see?

Hi guys, I have more insights from my prep that I would want to share with you. I have come to realize that if you want to score a really high GMAT score (say 750+) you need to start learning how to solve hard level questions. There is sadly no substitute to that. You will take time to increase accuracies on those level of questions but that is only the surer way to get a high GMAT score. I for one, was finding ways to run away from that for some time, thinking of ways how to score max easy and medium difficulty questions. Unfortunately, the don’t do the job. So, if you are still preparing for high GMAT score DO NOT RUN AWAY FROM HARD LEVEL QUESTIONS. YOU ARE BASICALLY RUNNING AWAY FROM A HIGH GMAT SCORE. Find a way to get better at solving 700-level questions. Period.
