Hi all,
I've been hearing all sorts of different takes on how competitive this upcoming year will be for applications to top business schools. I've read articles claiming this could be the most competitive year ever due to deferrals and more folks trying for an MBA due to the economy.
However, the other day, I read an opinion that this year would likely see the lowest GMAT/GRE scores ever. This person's thought is that schools extending their latest deadlines, some creating new deadlines, and others going GMAT-optional are evidences for this claim. They told me that this is a great year to try and take advantage of the opportunity to get into a top school if you are able to perform well on the test.
Any thoughts out there on the overall competitiveness for a spot in the class of 2023 at top b-schools, and especially the thought that this year could see comparably low scores on these standardized tests?
