I did this:

Total number of students = Students speaking only 1 language - 2* Students speaking exactly 2 languages - Students speaking only 3 languages.

6 = 3 - 2*3 - all
0 = -all
all = 0.

6=4+3+2-3-all three
all three; 0
IMO A

Using inclusion-exclusion: if 4 study Russian, 3 study Ukrainian, and the total is 6, the overlap has to account for the difference. If no one studies all three then the numbers don't balance to 6 without knowing the third language count. The "all three; 0" result makes sense if the third language group is small enough that the pairwise overlaps already cover everyone. What's the third language in the full problem?

The third language is Hebrew, and it is given in the question: 2 students study Hebrew.

The key point is that the 3 students mentioned are studying exactly two languages, not “at least two” languages. The total language count is 4 + 3 + 2 = 9. Since there are 6 students, there are 3 extra counts caused by overlap. The 3 students studying exactly two languages already account for all 3 extra counts, so no student can be studying all three languages.

Thus, the number studying all three is 0.
