True , that could be also taken into account , but more Importantly the Paragraph is the source for us to Analyze.

Mary Anne prefers Business Psychology to Introductory Physics. She likes Business Psychology, however, less than she likes American Literature. She actually finds American Literature preferable to any other college course, and she dislikes Inductive Statistics more than she dislikes Introductory Physics.

All of the following statements can be inferred from the information above EXCEPT:

(A) Mary Anne prefers American Literature to Business Psychology.

(B) Mary Anne likes Business Psychology better than she likes Inductive Statistics.

(3) Given a choice between Advanced Calculus and American Literature, Mary Anne is likely to choose the latter.

(D) Given a choice between World History and Introductory Physics, Mary Anne is likely to choose the former.

(E) Mary Anne likes Introductory Physics less than she likes Business Psychology.

Lets suppose, In the given para the Line I have put in Bold/ Blue is not given. Then how would you determine whether Option (3) could be Inferred or NOT! Sometimes a mere ''NO Mention'' of a subject does not Guarantee us the right to Eliminate the Option.

Hope that helps.

Best.
