A big congrats to guys who got in. Waitlisted ones don't loose hope as there is a long way to go.

I am planning to apply in round2. I wanted to what should be the margin of pages or approximately how many words should be there in one page essay ?

Thanks

Unfortunately I will most likely need to decline my acceptance at McDonough. Hopefully that opens up a potential spot for waitlisters!

I think I'm in the same situation as purpleshirt, so waitlisters don't lose hope! That's at least two seats available!

GTown has the most limited essay length of all the apps I completed. It really forced me to be concise and straight to the point. That said, I still violated their guidelines. I used 11 pt font instead of 12 and my margins are bit smaller than 1". The sides were .85 and the bottom is .6. I left the top margin 1" so that it's not...quite...so obvious.

I think that as long as your essay is well-written, they will slide on the guidelines. For example, I also could not fit everything in 1/2 page. It really took me 2/3 page.

But despite all those violations, I got accepted with $$$. Focus your energy on the WORDS. Perfect adherence to cosmetic guidelines does not make up for poor writing. On the other hand, a great story will not make someone think twice about the extra 2 sentences you sneaked onto the page! GOOD LUCK.

Agreed. Nobody is counting words. Just don't make it obvious.

Question here to those who already finished their apps. In the first essay where they ask you about short term goals and what skills you need to build/develop, did you include HOW you plan to develop these skills upon entering Gtown? I kind of want to put that there, but they arent' asking for it.
