Just got an email, in! Good luck to all, hope you get to feel that burst of excitement & yell out loud in the office like I did haha. prayers in & fingers crossed for all!
Got in! First acceptance, really excited about Mendoza.
I am out of the country so didn't receive the call. Can someone confirm how they learned about the fellowship? Was shown online or confirmed via the phone call?

Ahhh... waitlisted. I guess it's better than a straight-out rejection (trying to look on the brighter side of things). Congrats to those who were admitted!!
740 GMAT, 9.04/10 GPA (convert it to whatever you want), 2 years work ex.
Not a good sign. Let me explain why: I have an offer from 2 schools with an excellent scholarship, and even if ND does admit me now (which they still might NOT do), the amount of scholarship I get will be too less, if any. Worth it? I don't know.
Does anyone get dinged by Notre Dame? I have been on the wait list for two rounds. Is that just me or they don't really want to tell you right way and try to hold everyone forever? (well, until they fill all the seats, of course.)
I truly understand that ND cannot take everyone but my question was that do they try to keep everyone on the waitlist until the last moment? So far, every ND applicant I know either got accepted or waitlisted. No one has been dinged yet. It seems that they are holding every applicant in the pool and try to fish some lucky ones at the last minute if they don't find Mr./Ms. Successful in the next round or two.
So, does this waitlist thing means a polite "NO" or just show how greedy they are?

Fiona: Highly selective business schools are synonymous with rejection, ND denies over 65% of those who apply
Fiona: sorry I misunderstood your question; I would say that they deny most, waitlist some and accept few. My assumption being, based on the figures for previous years, that Notre Dame does waitlist more applicant than the average top 20 program for insurance purposes. IE: they don’t want to be stuck in a bind if they do not get the class the adcoms initially expect. Average percentage admitted off the ND waitlist hovers around 10-25%. Hope this helps, Best of Luck Fiona!
