We agree on the red part. "Minivans cost less" should be and nothing else.

BCE are out

But in A the part "and, compared with most sport utility vehicles, cost less" distorts the clear structure, I think.

"carry as many as seven passengers" in the original sentence isn't explicitly compared to most sports utility cars. So D remains.

I go for D

Mittal's intuition is remarkably.

just read four articles about Lakshmi Mittal and his way to a steel-magnate.

Well, intuition is maybe the wrong word; foresight is maybe better

Is the OA D? I'm very curious.

i dont think "carrying as many as seven passengers" in D is correct.

I think A is correct, leave it like it is.

OA time...

The OA is "A". In some papers it is given as "D" but it can't be "D".

allabout, this Mittal is one impossible guy, the way he talks is simply fabulous, you can see optimism pouring out of each word he utters!

You cracked it!

I wanted to add few morethings to your analysis of "B" & "D"!

B) even if, had "they" referred to Minivans, it's redundant.
D) Awkward construction. It is not parallel too.

A for me too..
D is wrong. It seems like minivans are not compared with vehicles , but minivans in which 7 passengers are sitting are compared with other cars..
