I was in between A and D but I'll tell you why it's not A and is rather D.
The argument is about parents wanting their children to read literary classics without any inappropriate content. This means that the primary concern with the parents is the inappropriate content, typically added by other publishers, and not whether the book is suitable or not.
D directly addresses the problem of whether or not there is any inappropriate content, regardless of whether it's from the original text or from a modern publishment of it, in the book.
