Hi all,
Await your guidance on the next steps! Here's my prep story-
The post may be a bit long but I will try to share the real time experinece of my 3 months of prep and the final Exam experience:
Started preparation in March 21 where I got used to the term GMAT its strategies and patterns.
COVID 2nd wave hit badly in India, got contracted including my family members which derailed my preparation.
Recovered, and got back with the preparation in July 21. Started solving OG.
Finally in August, my preparation starting gathering steam, took the Manhattan question bank and mocks.
Gave the first official mock and scored 590 (Q48,V27). Restrategised, Went through all the Manhattan books for Quant, RC and CR. For Sentence correction, I joined Crack Verbal and took all its classes.
By September 1st week my syllabus was complete and I was ready for the next official mock! Scored a 660 (Q48,V32). Was fullfilled by the growth. Then I started solving OG rigurously. By the mod of the month, decided to take the GMAT dates and took 18th Oct as the date. Was going well, solving OG and revising my notes. Gave Official mock in the last week of september and scored a 670 (Q48,V33).
Decided that a little more effort can get my score past the 700 mark. Hence, shifted the Exam dates to 12th November.
Started with the preparation and continued solving OG and manhattan question. Also, buyed official questions from the GMAT.
In the last week of October socred a 670 again (Q49,V32). Was a little disappointed as I wanted to see the score improve but that didn't happen. Here, I decided I will not be giving any further official mocks and will rely on other mocks for now.
In november, I had revised my english syllabus, math was upto marka nd I was scoring 620 in E - gmat mock (free) and In manhattan Mocks my score was ranging 590- 620 (Q47,V29).
In the exam day, I was confident of achieving atleast a 650+ with a hope of crossing the 700 barrier.
Unfortunately, after my exam on 12th my score was mere 610(Q50,V23,IR4). I was shellshocked as in verbal this was my lowest score ever and in Quant I performed the best. I couldn't understand what went so wrong in the verbals.
Henceforth, I need your help! What should be possible next steps and my approach. I am ready to devote some serious amount of time for 1-2 months for the improvements but I am unaware how to go about it.

Hi adityaanand,
It's hard to say exactly why your verbal score dropped, but did anything happen on the day of the exam that could have contributed to that score drop?

Did you get ESR ?
Good thing is you scored well in quant. but looks like in at least two sections in verbal you did not do as good as you should have to get 700+. Getting ESR and analyzing will surely help.
