I started my GMAT prep in Feb 2024, and gave my exam in July 2024.
I started with the quant section, which I found quite easy in comparison with the mock tests, that at some point it had me wondering if I was doing a lot of mistakes, since the questions were quite easy. The last couple of questions were tough, but by then I had enough time on my hands to solve them without pressure. I was left with 5 minutes, and had a chance to review 11 questions. My score for Quant was 87 with one question wrong.
Next I moved onto the verbal section. Apart from one RC, which I found quite difficult, the rest was comparable to the mock test in terms of difficulty. I finished the section with no time to spare. My score was 90 with two questions wrong.
This is when I took the optional break and started with DI, four questions in, I had already messed up my time. The Multi source reasoning was tough, I started guessing on a lot of questions just to be able to finish. Towards the end I had 3 minutes for the last two questions, which were two part analysis and graph. I managed to finish just in time, and I was confident that DI would let me down. My DI score was 79 with 5 questions wrong.
The overall score was 715.
I started my prep Jamboree online classes in India, things were going good when I had to take a break for about a month, which set me back quite a bit in my prep.
What helped me most was solving OG questions. I went through verbal videos of GMAT Ninja, which were very helpful especially for topics where I was struggling a bit. However, my score in all the Mock tests was between 655-695. In my last week I also studied with Target Test Prep, using the 5 day trial. My recommendation for anyone with sufficient time to prepare would be to study through Target Test prep as the course is very comprehensive. The Ninja verbal videos are an asset for any GMAT aspirant. Another thing which I noticed while giving mocks as well as the main exam, completing all questions is the most crucial thing, and that is when pacing becomes most important.
