Congrats. That is just amazing. You got a 36 and 40 on GMATPrep in Verbal, but got a 47 in Verbal on the actual exam! Can you let me know if you found the actual exam's verbal to be on the easier side, compared to GMATPrep? I mean, do you know what can suggest this quantum leap in verbal?

2 Quick questions for you on the score:
1) What resources other than MGMAT SC book did you use for SC? I am trying to bump my Verbal score up within the next month and need as many 700+ level questions as I can find.
I did not read any other books. But when I encountered an interesting concept, I would just read up a bit more on it on the internet. For example, on the topic of dangling modifiers. For questions on SC, there are plenty available on this website. Dig hard and Im sure you will find 2- 3 great pdf files with loads of 700+ questions. I would highly recommend them.
2) Did you feel that the MGMAT tests prepared you well? I am debating between taking those and the Veritas ones to fill up my time until my exam.
MGMAT was very useful. It was tougher than the actual exam but that's the best bit about it. I didn't enjoy Veritas test. Prefer the Kaplan one to be honest.

That is a good question. Honest answer - the level of Verbal was the same. And Im not sure of the reason for this big jump. I would've been happy with a 42-44 but definitely knew I would do better in the real exam because I generally perform well under pressure.
Possible reasons for big improvement:
1. I was just much more focussed on the real exam - biggest reason
2. I was better prepared - knew I would have 4 RCs rather than 3 so timed myself better. My pattern of scores was 720-750-780 (from 2 GMAT prep to real GMAT). This shows that I learnt from each time I took the test. Time management was critical.
3. Cared much more about the last few questions - I believe I got last 5 - 6 correct for sure.
