130 point increase in 3 weeks is just out of this world. Almost mystical.

I have my examination approaching and I have had many fits and starts to my preparation. Have been quite consistent over the past few months though. Keeping fingers crossed. Your post is quite motivating.

It was also good to hear that you perform best under pressure. Hope it's not the other way round for me on the exam:).

Hi parikshit89,

Congratulations on your score! That is an incredible accomplishment, even more so to be achieved in such short time.

You make some great points that align with what I experienced, too. These were absolutely spot on:
1. Practice exams are the best prep - find those weaknesses and hammer them out
2. Actual exam questions were much simpler than the practice tests (MGMAT or Veritas)
3. I finished my quant and verbal sections early in the actual exam too (though not nearly as quickly as you). I think I had a bit of adrenaline to push me through more quickly than normal. Do you think that was a factor for you, or were you just so practiced that you didn't need more time?

Thanks for sharing your experiences!

Congratulations man, I have to say I'm in a very same boat - extremely strong in quant, extremely weak in verb. I hope I can get over it, although I'm not a native english speaker.

Apologies for the late reply.

Ergenekon: I did not learn idioms. It was just a lot of effort for not much return.

quinnie515: Thanks a lot. I wish I knew that I would have so much time left over in quant. I wouldn't have made the careless mistake early on! I think it was just more focus in the moment that caused me to finish off before time.
