There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
McCombs organized an R1+R2 webinar focussed on waitlisted candidates on 7th April 2021. I am just reiterating the points McCombs made :
Things to Focus on?
Academic profile
1.Make sure to prove to the adcom that you can survive in a Quant heavy rigorous coursework.
2.AdCom is particularly interested to see your higher GMAT/GRE average scores.
3. However, this is just one way of proving your application strength in a competitive pool.
4. Even if you have a lower score, you can always supplement that by doing additional coursework such as MBA Math.
Work Experience
1. While updating adcom about your work experience, focus on the quality of the work and the impact you are making.
2. While it is good to be responsible for a number of tasks, AdCom is essentially looking for what value you are creating
3. By creating that value in your job, what you are bringing to the classroom and how you will support peer to peer learning
4. Would your peers like to study with you?
When I say Texas, you say Aye. Do you fit in with TexasMBA?
1.Once again, why McCombs why MBA? 2.Does McCombs and Your goals make sense? This is the opportunity to reevaluate yourself and reconsider or update adcom about your goals and clarity on the vision.
Further random scribbled notes
1. AdCom has observed that most applicants take the exam multiple times 2. Adcom always appreciates the effort, even if you take the exam again but don't get your desired score, do update AdCom about your multiple attempts 3.Note that the average GMAT scores for the class of 2021 were 704 4. Indian community average score was 720 5.Average GRE scores for McCombs were Q:159, V:159 6. Deposit deadline for the round 2 admits is 22nd April. This is when AdCom will know what's the yield for this round and based on that your spot on the list will be decided. 7. You are free to submit a letter of interest and this is your thought diary to let the adcom know whatever is going on with you. Also, this could be one way to tell AdCom where you lagged. You can also clarify your backup plans and goals. 8. A supplementary LoR is not necessary and there is no point of submitting an extra LoR if it just highlights the same credentials as that of your earlier LoR . What AdCom is looking for is a new LOR that goes beyond your last LoR 9. Intentions, Intentions, Intentions: Show them how much you love the school and you are going to reapply or come at any cost any day any time

I applied for the Fall 2023 term of McCombs and was waitlisted for it. I am planning to update the school with the following: 1.Letter of Interest 2. Supplemental Coursework.
Could you please recommend what additional coursework I should take to bolster my interest in the program?
