Hello guys,
I have been following the GMATNinja Process in my verbal reasoning section. However, when I do the process while practicing it works perfectly and I get all the answers right, but when I am in a practice test environment I am unable to use the process because of the time pressure. How do I tackle this? What should I do?
Unfortunately I have covered all my Official material and I running of out questions to do. Should I redo the same questions and practice my process or practice my process on question in the Gmat Club
forum quiz?
GMATNinja , I would really apprectiate your take on this.
Sincerely,
Kiran
You're certainly not alone in hitting this wall -- many of our students run into similar problems when leaping from homework to the testing environment. The key is to realize that performance pressure is the thing that is holding you back. Having identified this as the issue, you can start to address it directly in your homework and practice tests.
But first: for additional verbal questions, we highly recommend that you use LSAT questions (
Here’s why.)
This book would be a good choice, but any of the LSAT books with 10 full, official LSAT tests is OK. You could also buy an online subscription to the LSAT library
here. For info on how to interpret LSAT results, check out the verbal section of
this post.
Back to performance pressure: If you want to address any nerves head-on, check out
this article and/or
this video and see whether any of those ideas speak to you.
I hope that helps a bit, and good luck with everything!
