I'm extremely sorry to hear your story mate. There are many external factors which may apply when you take your GMAT apart from your prep.

1. Getting panicked in the exam.
2. Anxiety etc.

As far as your prep is concerned, practice only OG will not help. Well i don't mean that it is not needed, it is needed but you also need other books to ace the verbal part. Since OG only contains few hard questions.

I see that you are pretty good in Quants. For your 2nd attempt, mainly focus on your verbal part. Define a study plan for verbal. Also improve or practice your quants skills frequently so that you won't forget them.

Register for any verbal specific courses. There are plenty available. Choose what you need and decide what will fulfill your demands to reach your target.

Download this ultimate grammar book from GMAT club. This will help you in getting stronger in basics.

Here are the few for your reference.

1. Ultimate study plan for verbal.

2. How to go from V30 to V40.

3.Books to read to improve your verbal skills.

4. Best GMAT verbal books.

There are plenty of free resources available in the forum. You can use that as well.

Motivations for 2nd attempt.

1. Post by Rs2010- 570 to 760.

2. Post by yangsta8- 580 to 730

3. Positive soul- 420 to 700

These only few of the exceptional comebacks. Here is full thread where you can read everything and also about retaking strategies

Hope it helps you. All the best to your preparation for 2nd attempt. :) :) :)

Thank you all for your lovely and insightful advice. Well I am starting my journey with Manhattan Verbal theory for now. Since CR was a weak point for me, I will start with it followed by SC concepts and finally RC. Shall update on my progress.
