Hi all,
I gave my GMAT on 27/10/2020 and scored a 600 (Q39, V33). This is not very different to what I have been scoring on recent mocks (MPGMAT 2 & 3 - 620, and GMAT Official 5 & 6, 630 and 570 respectively). However, in the GMAT Official mocks 3 & 4, I scored 650 and 680 respectively. Verbal has been pretty consistent in all the mocks - around 33-35, but my quant scores dipped after I changed my strategy. Initially, I was doing questions at my pace which meant my accuracy was good but I wasn't able to complete the exam and had to guess the last few questions. However, from GMAT official mocks 5 & 6 onwards, I started paying attention to my speed, which meant my accuracy was compromised, due to making silly mistakes and having the time pressure. This is what I believe led to a lower score. Do you think that by focusing on accuracy in the first 10-12 questions rather than time, as I was doing earlier, I can improve my quant score? I haven't given a mock since my first attempt. I would like to bring my quant score up to the mid-40s.
For verbal, I am comfortable with RCs, but struggling with CR and SC. However, I have started working on SC as I understand this is the easiest way to bring up my verbal score. I am aiming to increase my verbal score to V39-V40. I am also continuing practice on the other two sections, and watching videos on concepts, tips and strategies. Is there anything else I should be doing to improve my verbal score in the next 2 weeks? Postponing the exam is not an option.

it'll be difficult to get from V33 to V40 in 2 weeks. I really do not want to discourage anyone from trying though. All the best.

All things being equal it would be hard. Consider booking your online test for a later date. You may have fundamentals you need to go over in regards to your Quant and Verbal.
