Hi All,

I have got 3 admits for this fall from school X, Y and Z and have some scholarship from X but was trying to negotiate a better scholarship with X using Y and Z admits...now the thing is I do have admit from other school Y but I dont know the scholarship amount yet , while from Z I have scholarship which is almost same as what X offered..so now my school X has comeback asking for details about other offfers before offering me more scholarship...so I was just wondering whether its a good idea to fake a higher scholarship with Y and Z schools or do these schools have internal connections and they might find out the truth as well so how should I go about this...Any suggestions on this would be highly appreciable. Thanks

Sharing fake documents/information about scholarship will not be a good idea. I second mvictor, be honest and share out-liers with Y/Z school and how you can add value. Preferably each school has a specific objective before they finalize a candidate. I recommend that prepare their performance tabular format to compare information and find they gaps based on the comparables to put yourself in the strongest position to demand what you deserve. Do let me know if you need additional information. Also, please share your experience with us on this forum, once you close an offer. Hope this helps! All the best.
