I think it’s going to be hard to answer this question since you cannot register for it and we don’t know when it’s yet available but I’m sure a lot of people will take it when it does become available, especially because the transition from the old to the Neue test is supposedly only going to be less than six months … supposedly. Once it launches

Hi! I’m new to this forum. I see most programs say they accept an average GMAT score of ~650-680. I think these are achievable scores. However, many marketing materials insinuate anything less than 700 is poor...any words of encouragement?
or you can check the
decision tracker for similar profiles from your geography. There are certain geographic trends for certain markets. For example southeast Asia is extremely competitive and you need a very high score. On the other hand places such as South America or Africa tend to be less competitive in terms of high scores
US tends to be about average so an average score may get you in if you don’t have issues or problems with your profile. The problem is that many people tried to overcompensate and rightfully so for weaknesses with GPA or other professional accomplishments
PS. To expand a bit about the new GMAT focus edition, it doesn’t look like it’s being targeted for applicants for this coming season. Launching in late 2023, it’s going to miss pretty much all the application rounds so if you are applying this year, I wouldn’t bet my money on it and I wouldn’t hang my head on it either 😎
