Hi all, I took Insead mini Gmat simulation mock and got an estimate of 710-760. I also took LBS mini Gmat simulation mock and got estimate of 700-740. How accurate are these mocks as a reflection of where I currently stand?
We don’t have people take these too often as a data point…. Most people take either full or a sectional test.
So I could not really say 🤷♂️. Have you been studying already? I think those are designed to be more of a diagnostic type of thing

Hi, I am planning to take GMAT exam within 4-5 months. Can anyone suggest me the perfect set books which can be helpful in preparation? The GMAT OG is already in list as this contains the exact GMAT questions. But, to study for quant and verbal, which books should be preferred as I need a book which covers basics as well - Manhattan/Kaplan or here also separate books of GMAT OG?
very easy. The only books available and current on the market are
MGMAT (#1) and Kaplan (#2). So you can grab
mgmat and get going. With the full set. Obviously you need the OG as you mentioned.
there are some other books available eg powerscore which is good for CR mainly and there are
mgmat foundations books but I would wait and not overbuy. Just get the
mgmat set. If it feels too hard do you feel like the quantum verbal is starting at the point for ahead of you, you can get the foundations books which go back to basically second grade math and basic verbal skills.
Similarly, if you don’t feel like Manhattan approach to critical reasoning is working for you, and you need a different way of explaining or a second shot basically, you can get the powerscore critical reasoning book. However the approach both of them teach is kind of the same sets not a different strategy but just a different way of explaining and laying out the strategy
There are also Princeton review books but they tend to emphasize tricks and shortcuts and I have not seen anyone use those books in the last 10 years successfully
