Hey I wanted to know, is there is any major impact on your profile having 3 months and having 6 months of experienc
For business schools, usually the experience is measured in years so three or six months is not really a deciding factor for MBA. It’s generally not enough 😂

It may be helpful but because MIM does not require work experience, it’s not a big contributing factor that you have a few more months of WE. What would be more helpful and valuable would be ability to show that you’ve been busy and using your time well and engaged and working towards your goal. Otherwise, your admission decision will be based on scores and GPA and your application essays.

Does anyone have any tips to read and comprehend FASTER on Reading Comprehension?

Instead of trying to become a faster reader when tackling Reading Comprehension passages, it may be helpful to focus on being a more effective reader. Remember, your goal is not necessarily to read fast but rather to read effectively so that you understand what you’ve just read.

To understand what you are reading, you likely must slow down (and eventually speed up). You have to learn to comprehend what you read, keep it all straight, and use what you are reading to arrive at correct answers. At this point, your best bet is to focus on getting the correct answers to questions, taking as much time as you need to see key details and understand the logic of what you are reading. If you don't understand something, go back and read it one sentence at a time, even one word at a time, not moving on until you understand what you have just read. There is no way around this work. Your goal should be to take all the time you need to understand exactly what is being said and arrive at the correct answer. If you can learn to get answers taking your time, you can learn to speed up. Answering questions is like any task: The more times you o it carefully and successfully, the faster you become at doing it carefully and successfully.

Another component to understanding what you are reading is being “present” when reading. Don’t worry about how things are going at work, or what you will eat for dinner, or even how long you’re taking to read through the passage. Just focus on what is in front of you, word by word, line by line. Furthermore, try to make reading fun. For example, even if you are reading about a topic that bores you, pretend that you are the person making the argument. By doing so, you will make the passage more relatable to YOU, and ultimately you should be able to read with greater focus.

One final component of Reading Comprehension that may be tripping you up is that RC questions contain one or more trap answers that seem to answer the question but don't really. So, a key part of training to correctly answer RC questions is learning to notice the differences between trap answers and correct answers. You have to learn to see how trap danswers seem to follow from what the passages say, but don't really, while correct answers fit what the passages say exactly. Of course, the better you become at noticing the differences between trap answer choices and correct answers, the faster you will answer RC questions.

If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out.

Good luck!

Most universities have just one in August or September but a few offer January start time and even fewer offer April/may start time

90% are Aug/Sept timeframe. You can apply for Insey add. They have a January intake, the application is open right now… R already passed and R2 is April 18th - deadline tomorrow 😂

But if you’re planning to apply in September, for INSEAD, you can not start in January. you have to apply earlier

Ok… do you need help with GMAT sentence correction can you only have a few days? 😬

You probably better start studying sentence correction then… I hope everything else is buttoned up. Depending on what you need, you can download GMAT Club’s grammar book right now for free and study any grammar you need. If you need fancier things such as next step grandma, parallelism, meaning, and all of those fun things, Manhattan book is a great source or you can take a free trial of a number of courses. Since you only have a little time, he may be able to get away with the free trial 🤔

😎 it’s a common misconception about the official guide. It doesn’t teach you. It only contains questions. It’s a great and very useful book but you can compare it to a thermometer that can measure your temperature. However, it contains no medicine to help you with sentence correction. You can only measure your temperature and kind of useless in curing. So that is why you need other resources to actually teach you grammar, teach you strategies, and then how to approach questions.

Hey! This is a 13 week study plan by GMAT Ninja. This is what I’m following with few iterations, personalized to my strengthens and weakness. I would also suggest to checkout GMAT syllabus since there are few tweaks there. For syllabus, would suggest to keep the sources limited to mba.com
