Any suggestions on good courses? I have checked out few like Magoosh, TTP, e-gmat , experts global but some have very costly plans
I would do a free trial frankly. They are all worthy and capable but there are some personal preferences so sign up and give them a quick test drive.

I think all third party mocks are imperfect.... MGMAT is a gold standard at this point but you can only rely on the GMAT Prep.... most people end up buying MGMAT or GMAT Prep.

I would personally recommend Top one percent. I’m a guy who’s below average w.r.t academics and whatever I’ve learnt in my younger years. And being a musician doesn’t help much when it comes to logical reasoning (read quant) or verbal. But solely because of his classes i nailed a 700 and I’m giving a retest on Friday to score higher

I agree with bb here. MGMAT has the right style of quant. I’d say MBA.com mocks, the verbal is on par. But if you’re good at the quant section of GMAT prep, the real test may be a shocker in the much higher levels

Thank you Calico, you lack reputation on GMAT Club. So I am obligated to share with people about this company that you are advertising based on this post: top-one-percent-gmat-172366.html

Cheers :D

Damn, just went through the thread you shared actually. Looks like things haven’t been good for them here. Fair enough, approach the institute with caution if you’re signing up. I fortunately had a good experience with them. But yes, each to their own for sure

Have you checked the historical data in the decision tracker? decision-tracker.html

Use the filters to choose the programs you want to pick and send it only to Admitted. That will give you an idea who has been getting into these programs over the past few years.

Instead of trying to become a faster reader when tackling Reading Comprehension passages, it may be helpful to focus on being a more effective reader. Remember, your goal is not necessarily to read fast but rather to read effectively so that you understand what you’ve just read. To understand what you are reading, you likely must slow down (and eventually speed up). You have to learn to comprehend what you read, keep it all straight, and use what you are reading to arrive at correct answers. At this point, your best bet is to focus on getting the correct answers to questions, taking as much time as you need to see key details and understand the logic of what you are reading. If you don’t understand something, go back and read it one sentence at a time, even one word at a time, not moving on until you understand what you have just read. There is no way around this work. Your goal should be to take all the time you need to understand exactly what is being said and arrive at the correct answer. If you can learn to get answers taking your time, you can learn to speed up. Answering questions is like any task: The more times you o it carefully and successfully, the faster you become at doing it carefully and successfully. Another component to understanding what you are reading is being “present” when reading. Don’t worry about how things are going at work, or what you will eat for dinner, or even how long you’re taking to read through the passage. Just focus on what is in front of you, word by word, line by line. Furthermore, try to make reading fun. For example, even if you are reading about a topic that bores you, pretend that you are the person making the argument. By doing so, you will make the passage more relatable to YOU, and ultimately you should be able to read with greater focus. One final component of Reading Comprehension that may be tripping you up is that RC questions contain one or more trap answers that seem to answer the question but don’t really. So, a key part of training to correctly answer RC questions is learning to notice the differences between trap answers and correct answers. You have to learn to see how trap danswers seem to follow from what the passages say, but don’t really, while correct answers fit what the passages say exactly. Of course, the better you become at noticing the differences between trap answer choices and correct answers, the faster you will answer RC questions. If you have any further questions, feel free to reach out. Good luck!
Hi Scott, I did read this, thanks for the info. My main issue is, based on what you said, being present while reading. I often start thinking on “how fast I need to understand or other unrelated thoughts”.

I have a good idea. To start, why don't you practice RC questions untimed?

Hi all, I have started with my GMAT prep but struggling to juggle it with my full time job, I am to give GMAT in next 3 months and score ~740.
Can anyone suggest me if leaving the job is a good idea or how else to focus with a clear mind and score that much?
Thanks in advance!

It’s usually a pretty bad idea. If you quit, you either have a gap on your résumé or you will be unemployed when you apply. You will need letters of recommendation and other things. You’re expected to prep all having a job …. If you can take a leave for a bit so that you don’t have a gap on your résumé but most of us to GMAT while working
