I knew that leaving question unanswered is a penalty but didn’t know that it is so daunting when it comes to the GMAT score

Hey there bb !
Just wanted to let you know that whenever I click on "Incorrect Questions" in the Error Log it routes to a broken page.... :hurt:

Must be a bug cause I remember this function working. Anyway, have a good night!

Just an example, I gave my second mock test today, and made sure not to miss any question. I just guessed and moved on...the change it brought is huge

And keep in mind that leaving questions unanswered on the GMAT is heavily penalized so it is better to answer them wrong then to leave them unanswered.

Hi BB, gave my second mock based on the feedback of not missing any questions - my new score is 625 V(79) Q(82)DI(82), which is I guess a good improvement over 555 I had last time

What resources did you use to improve from your last score to now?

Re: New to GMAT Club - Post Your Questions Here [#permalink]
Hi folks
I am continuously getting 615 in practise tests from different sources (including 1 OG Test)
I am facing challenges in the Multi-source reasoning questions of DI Section. It is taking me ~15 mins to solve all the 3 questions with generally 2 out of 3 correct answers. Because of this I am not able to solve the last 6-7 questions.
I was thinking of skipping these 3 questions and solve them in the end if I have any time remaining but the risk is that all 3 would be incorrect and that would lead to a good degrade. Also, I have noticed that generally the multi-source questions are towards the harder end so maybe answering them would lead to a better overall score.
Could someone suggest me what can I follow? Does it usually take everyone this much time on these questions or the situation is different?

Tests. Only tests. Other things which are not tests are not included.

Nothing, just strategy to rather give wrong answer rather than wasting time and leaving questions un-attempted. I only gave mock yesterday and went through the DI playlist BB suggested by Ninja GMAT. Today is this change

I was facing the same issue in my first test, I missed 4 questions. Today I gave mock where I attempted them all regardless of the accuracy, just to attempt them all. It gave huge score boost in my DI segment scores, from 64 to 82

Hey, I can definitely answer this one. I missed question 6,7 and 8 (even after spending a lot of time trying to solve them) and still got a pretty decent score of 83. All I would say is if the test finds your limit, accept it and try to move on.

On the improvement part, I’d say try to solve all the OG DI questions, they are really really good and have barely any repetition. If you solve enough you’d have a bank of ideas you could rely on.

But even after all that, you might not get it, which is okay. I’d rather not waste time on something I don’t get and invest it somewhere I can also get returns

I am an extremely analytical person. It is very hard for me to believe things without proof, so analysed all my mocks to understand patterns

My last one was meant for someone else, sorry :(
