depending on which program you are applying for, there could be specific requirement for gmat or gre. otherwise, as i understand, if ur bachelor is from a non-quantitative field and ur trying to apply to do a master’s in a more quantitative/logic-related field, then it could help

I guess score is compulsory for courses, like the MSc in Finance, Finance and Private Equity, and Economics and Management. Postgraduate courses at LSE that have no relation to Business, Management or Finance do not require, recommend or even accept GMAT/GRE scores as part of their admissions process. Need to check with the adcom.

"Recommended but not required
Applicants for some programmes may be recommended to take a test, particularly if quantitative skills are not demonstrated by their degree. If you submit scores when you are not required to, poor scores will not damage your application, but good scores may strengthen it."
