However, in my opinion, if you are done with the prep and looking to take the mocks, do not wait for the free days, just go ahead and pay the fee. The tests are really worth the money.
To do this, there's an issue
I have egmat and I've given 4 mocks and the average is around 515 🥲
I'm very worried about this
While solving I'll be confident about my answer and while analysing I realise all the small silly mistakes I do
I need to practice and strengthen my basics and methods more
That's why I'm thinking whether should I just solve more problems and give mba.com mocks
Or keep giving regularly mocks along with practicing problems and then move to mba.com mocks
I have 60 days left for my exam though

Thanks for this

Thanks man!

Quick question - considering the GMAT is adaptive section-wise as well, wouldn’t it make sense to start with your weakest section first?
If we leave the weakest for the last (assuming we did well in the others), we’d start off at a higher difficulty level, and for a time-sensitive section like DI, it would be really easy to mess up.
Alternatively, we could keep it in the middle, to allow a chance for the last section to bring the score back up again.

Thoughts on this approach?

Could you please tell us whether you are talking about GMAT Club tests or GMAT official mocks? Thank you!

Hi, this is about the GMAT Club tests. I tried again after a few hours, and it’s working fine now.

Thanks but I have a doubt here
Like take a topic of Work and Rate which is under Problem Solving
There are options for difficulty level on Problem solving as a whole
But I want difficulty level only for Work and Rate

Is this not possible?

There is no difficulty reading as a whole for anything.... There’s only difficulty rating for the exact individual specific question.

Yes, this is in-line with my thought process too. However, when I gave the exam (V-DI-Q), I bombed DI, and even though I did well in Quant, I got really easy questions the entire section, to the point where I was done 8-10 minutes before the timer ran out. Which makes me wonder about the section-wise adaptiveness and how it may play a greater role than advertised.
WA@oam3125

This has been discussed quite a bit for over the years... or I guess for a year since GMAT focus is only about almost 2 years old 😬

It got to a point that GMA came out and basically said it is an extremely small variable.

This just helps them pinpoint your level better. I think the scale they’re talking about is are you about 50th percentile in the previous section or below? If you’re above, they’ll give you a slightly harder question or if you’re below, they’ll give you a slightly easier question and this basically saves them one question from this point of accuracy because if you’re really low scorer, it doesn’t make sense to start with a medium difficult you might as well start with low and if you are a very high score, might as well give you a higher level so what this may mean is that if you got a really low score in verbal and your next section is quant they may give you a 40th percentile difficulty but if you finished really strong and got 75th percentile and verbal they’ll give you a 60th percentile in quant.

But if you finished your verbal with 90th percentile, they will still give you 60th percentile for quant or if you finished your verbal with 55th percentile, they will still give you a 60th percentile quant question to start.

This is a very very minor consideration and I would structure your test based on this component. That’s what we kind of heard from GMA when they got bombarded by questions and I think they regretted releasing this information 😂
