Hello, everyone. I've just recently begun my GMAT preparation (took a first timed test last night to establish my baseline score - 610) but have some questions for the board.
I'm 36, currently working in sales with a Fortune 100 company. I attended a fairly prestigious University out of high school but, to be blunt, was a complete screwup and ultimately dropped out after a heart to heart with my parents about getting my head straight and then going back to school.
Since then, I've gone back to school on a part time basis at a good, but not great regional University near me.
Is this non-traditional path going to pretty much limit me to lower tier MBA programs regardless of how well I do on the GMAT or is this something that be overcome with good essays, strong GMAT score, etc?

Well, first of all, depends on what you want to do, but yes a 610 can limit your options a lot. Secondly, at 36, you might want to be aiming for EMBA programs... you might have a hard time finding a good fit at top programs (although lower ranked ones will be far more flexible)
