I had my GMAT scheduled for today morning. When I reached the center the administrator did not allow me to take the exam
The reason:
During registration the third field in the name section is mentioned as surname/last name/family name. I entered my family name.
But in my passport the last name is written as my surname. Hence there was a mismatch of what is shown in my passport and what is in GMAC database.
The administrator has raised an incident and given me the number and asked me to contact the GMAT helpline number.
I cannot do this till tomorrow, since today is a holiday.
However, I am a little anxious. Will I have to pay for the exam again?
I suppose it wont have any consequence with regard to my application. Am I right?

I am not very sure about the payment part, may be you need to pay again, but definitely no consequences with regards to your application.
