and the worst thing abt STATS...applied april 2 ! too much wait but thank god worked all well....good luck!

Yea, it's weird.

I applied on May 15th. Got notice on Tuesday. I had a weak GPA but did have some recent grad classes with a 4.0 GPA.

The adcom I spoke with said they "took Undergrad GPAs with a grain of salt".

So it would appear they work more off of GMATs and work ex.

I don't think the necessarily go in order of the date the applications were received.

Question for everybody. I had submitted my application for Spring 2008 early this week.

Since Stern is still considering apps for Fall 2007 would it be a good idea to call and ask them to switch apps to Fall 2007?

My Stats
Indian Male - 31 Yrs
IT Consulting - 9 Yrs (decent career progression)
Average GPA - 67% from India
GMAT - 700 (Q46, V40)
Average Extra curricular

Would appreciate your opinion.

u can try for Fall 2007 - obv u will be behind the pack who applied by May 15th.... but good part is..u can reapply for Spring if seats fill up for Fall...only word of caution..u can apply only 2 times in a year...meaning after reapplying for spring 2008...u cannot apply again till next spring i.e. 2009

I'm still waiting to hear! I was waitlisted last year - revamped my app, took an MBA stats class at another school, got 3 new recs - including one from the prof...ugh. I'm going nuts.

Congrats Microjohn! I scrolled bakc to previous pages and I think our stats are similar so I'm crossing my fingers and checking the site like it's my job. In fact, I think I'm spending more time doing that than my actual job!
