There are many benefits to timing your practice, including:
That lag is probably pretty severe. From reading the literature, you need six weeks to hear about financial aid, so I'd say that the rest of the yesses will hear tomorrow or Wednesday.
1k must be paid in 2weeks of the date on the admission letter....get the cash ready...
also accepted students must take a MANDATORY quantative exam by Aug 13....sucks that we found out decision late so prep time is lower ... i would suggest brushing up on Math....if you don't pass the Quant exam...u need to register for $150 3-hr tutoring and then re-take the exam....
I am in too. Just got the email today. I applied late though (sent in application on July 2nd)
As for me:
GMAT 720
GPA 3.3
5 Years in benefit consulting, 1 year in insurance risk management. I am a Qualified Actuary
havent reviewed the quant exam...no idea why they need this in addition to GMAT - has to be more advanced im guessing...but only the business school can answer your question accurately.
Can someone find out what is the latest count in the database? Has there been any accepted notification for the weekend option in the past week? I browsed through the logs and it appears most of the accepted folks have opted for weeknights. Wondering if the adcom is sending these out in batches...
Got waitlisted today. Dunno what my next move shud be. Just wait and watch? I don't have a stellar GMAT but nothing can be done abt it before fall session begins.
on the brighter side, its better than a rejection letter...currently only 288 folks are in database...ofcourse there is a lag but still the number has not creeped up much since last 2 weeks (if u check the board)
And from the adcom letter, every applicant has only 2weeks to pay up the $1k deposit to confirm a spot....
Dont loose hope. Seems like this year they are low on applicants. I still have not heard yet and likewise, have a low GMAT. How would you rate your application other than the GMAT score? While I'm sure the score has over 50% to do with their decision, other factors must also come into play to make the process "holistic". Can you tell me a little more about your background so I get an idea of what I could expect and where my application could have gone wrong (if i am not admitted).
I applied for the NYU program during end of april. I still haven't heard from the adcom. My Stats are:
650 GMAT (49 Quants, very low in verbal)
3.5 GPA
Head of Retail Vertical 50 mn company
9 years work exp, exceptional career growth, compensation close to 200K
Fully sponsered MBA from the company
Recos from my CEO and Senior VP (Report to him)
Lots of extra curricular and social work

you have a very good profile; the low side would be your GMAT score.
I'm also wondering why lots of people joining in the discussions of the Langone's threads, but not other part-time programs? Any idea?
Has anyone heard anything yet? They are really making us wait till the last possible moment. Also.. to those that are admitted, can someone update the board on the count in the DB? Also.. just out of curiosity, is there anyone on this board that was admitted that will probably end up not attending?
