Out of curiosity - is this quant exam similar to the GMAT or does it look for something different.

Also, why a quant exam when we have GMAT quant scores in the apps?

Scorpio guy -

havent reviewed the quant exam...no idea why they need this in addition to GMAT - has to be more advanced im guessing...but only the business school can answer your question accurately.

Can someone find out what is the latest count in the database? Has there been any accepted notification for the weekend option in the past week? I browsed through the logs and it appears most of the accepted folks have opted for weeknights. Wondering if the adcom is sending these out in batches...

on the brighter side, its better than a rejection letter...currently only 288 folks are in database...ofcourse there is a lag but still the number has not creeped up much since last 2 weeks (if u check the board)

And from the adcom letter, every applicant has only 2weeks to pay up the $1k deposit to confirm a spot....

sit tight - i know its easier said than done

Inaik-

Dont loose hope. Seems like this year they are low on applicants. I still have not heard yet and likewise, have a low GMAT. How would you rate your application other than the GMAT score? While I'm sure the score has over 50% to do with their decision, other factors must also come into play to make the process "holistic". Can you tell me a little more about your background so I get an idea of what I could expect and where my application could have gone wrong (if i am not admitted).

thanks

you have a very good profile; the low side would be your GMAT score.

I'm also wondering why lots of people joining in the discussions of the Langone's threads, but not other part-time programs? Any idea?

Has anyone heard anything yet? They are really making us wait till the last possible moment. Also.. to those that are admitted, can someone update the board on the count in the DB? Also.. just out of curiosity, is there anyone on this board that was admitted that will probably end up not attending?
