Wow...are they starting an earlier review? I am still waiting for my trascripts from India and needless to say struggling with the essays. Kudos to all of you on completing before the deadline. I guess I slacked off a little.
April 25th - Pearson submitted my GMAT score report. April 28th - I submitted the online application. April 28th - I mailed a sealed transcript and sealed recommendations. ...That should mean my application was "complete" by April 30... May 7th - I received a password for the status check site. May 8th-15th - I think of at least three ideas that would have been better than what I used for Essay 3. Oh well.
Maybe status check e-mails are not sent in the order that applications are received. They could accept the applications and create the logins, but then the e-mails are sent out based on last name or application id.

The passwords are only e-mailed to those applications that are considered complete?

Everyone that submits an application will get an email with a password, regardless if the application is complete or not. If the app is incomplete, then when you login for a status check, the site will tell you what's missing.
Yeah before I started I had a really hard time gathering my thoughts, but now I'm having a hard time limiting myself to the 250 words! I will prob submit it on Thurs, but I want to get Essay 3 mailed out by tomorrow just in case something happens.
I am a nervous wreck....I keep thinking this is my only shot at it, I have to get in and yet nothing seems to really stand out in my application that says..."yes, we have to admit her."
Don't worry, I feel the same way! I wish there was some website of essays from people who already got in, just so we can really benchmark our own. So I want to double check - things that are being mailed just need to be postmarked by this Thurs, correct?
Hey guys, is a 12x18 size padded envelope too big for Essay 3, in your opinion (the thing that I'm making is being printed on 11x17 paper)? The tube requirements of 3x36 are def way too big, but they didn't list any req for envelope size. I called admissions and they guy said it "should be ok" - thoughts? Silly questions, I know lol..this is what happens when you FREAK and procrastinate!
I would try to stay as close to what they ask as possible. Eliminates one other reason why they could say no. On another note, does your essay have anything to do with a cactus playing the flute (I assume that's what's going on in the pic). I think that's very unique.
My issue with this whole mailing thing is that they never specifically said what the envelope requirements were, just the boxes/tubes...this is driving me nuts!! lol
LOL...thanks!! Specifically, it's a cactus chef playing Billy Joel's "We Didn't Start the Fire" on the flute, from Late Night with Conan O'Brien - cracks me up every time
In the description part of Essay 3 if we are mailing it what are we expected to write? Do we have to describe the content or just the package ? Please could someone provide a quick response. The panic button is on FULL MODE!!
I think they want a very brief description of what it is you are sending and what you are trying to say with it. For instance, if it is a model skyscraper with a story for each year you lived, and a major life event in each window… you probably want to say just that.
But if you could get info from a past admit, or directly from Stern, that would be the best.
