In some prior posts, the number of students in the student database was referenced. See page 6 of this thread under Tenore's post about the analysis of the wait. I don't know where to find this student database. Does anyone know where this is? How many students are in the database right now?

My understanding is that NYU wants to look at more applicants because maybe they feel that they want more "diversity" in their incoming class.

Once you're admitted, you will receive a password that will grant you access to a website with pertinent information for incoming students. Clicking on the 'Who Are My Classmates?' tab will grant you access to a database with your fellow admittees' first names, companies of employment, undergrad institutions, and e-mail addresses.

thanks, all!

it says the "fall 2008 new student tour" will be available on june 3rd...i'm assuming that's where admits can access the student database, among other things. but i'm not sure if you can access it before nyu receives your deposit...

I just got an update to my application - I got in! Wow...I am so excited....I just received the email a few mins ago! Wow...that was a long process from the time that I started this mba journey!

when did you submit your application? they sent you an e-mail notifying your status is updated + a separate e-mail telling you that you are admitted?

It seems like ADCOM is sending out replies to applicants who have submitted their apps early. They are sending out acceptances and accepting applications :roll:

i did not receieve the status check password until yesterday, I called the admissions office and seemed like they had sent me earlier! anyways they resent it to me and i got it yesterday.

I am happy to say that I just got accepted!!! I have a HUGE smile right now! The status check letter says I have to complete an enrollment deposit form and a payment form and return them with $1000 no later than two weeks after they arrive. They'll come in my official admission packet. As soon as I get that done, I'll be happy to give updates on the number of students in the database because I know you guys are thinking about it. I know I was!! Also, I wouldn't mind meeting up with all of the other admits from gmatclub for a drink right before pre-term. It would be nice to get to know some of you guys before we start. I’m so excited! Best of luck to all of you!!!

One last thing, I submitted my application the night of May 15th. I guess the submit date isn't the main factor.

So far this forum is 3 for 3 on admits. Keep it going guys!!
