My answer
A - B = A -2 - (B - 2)
-> A - B in the figure shown is equal to 4.54xx - 4.52 = 0.02... -> E is the correct answer

Point A = 4.5225
Point B = 4.5445
the difference comes out to be =4.5445 - 4.5225
= 0.022

Choice E

The difference between 4.52 and 4.53 is 10 units that mean \(\frac{{4.53 - 4.52} }{ {10} }\)

=> \(\frac{0.01 }{ 10}\) = 0.01 increment

=> A is midpoint of 4.522 and 4.523. Hence A is at \(\frac{(4.522 + 4.523)}{ 2}\) = 4.5225

=> Similarly, B is midpoint of 4.544 and 4.545. Hence B is at \(\frac{(4.544 + 4.545)}{ 2}\) = 4.5445

The distance between A and B is the length of line segment AB: 4.5445 - 4.5225 = 0.022

4.53 - 4.52 = 0.01 and there are 10 spaces between 0.01. This means that each space on the number line = 0.001.

Now from point (A) to point (B) we have 22 (0.001) spaces = 20(0.001) + 2(0.001) spaces
= 0.02 + 0.002
= (E) 0.022
