=> 2/5 of this distance = (2/5)*30 = 12 units
=> Required Point = 10+12 = 22
=> Answer: E

Distance between two number on number line = highest value - lowest value.
=> Distance = 40-10
=> Distance = 30
The 2/5th proportion of 30 =
=> 2/5*30
=> 12
12 is the distance from 10 on number line.
The point on number line = 10+12 = 22
=> ANSWER is E
