in Q3 why E is correct and B is not. As there is mentioned that only OTHER facets used elements of other legends

The passage discusses various aspects of the historical King Arthur and his connections to both legend and history. It talks about the Battle of Badon Hill as one of the factually based events that is connected to Arthur, and it suggests that Arthur's involvement in this battle is uncertain and the literary references to his role in this battle appear much later. However, the passage does not provide any specific information about the earliest supposed victory Arthur had or its timing.

On the other hand, option (B) - "The legend of King Arthur has incorporated elements of other legends" is supported by the text. The passage clearly states that many facets of the Arthurian legend have been either debunked or proven to be borrowed from the deeds of other figures. It acknowledges that the Arthur of legend is a complex mix of history and legend, and scholars have theorized and debated about it. Therefore, the text supports the idea that the Arthurian legend has incorporated elements from other sources.

In summary, the passage does not provide information about the timing of Arthur's earliest supposed victory, making option (E) correct. It does, however, discuss the incorporation of elements from other legends into the Arthurian legend, making option (B) incorrect.
